The Excited Colloquium will take place in the foyer and lecture halls at Emil-Figge-Straße 50, TU Dortmund University. Free parking is available all day in the immediate vicinity of the venue.
Arriving by train and public transport
There are express train connections to Dortmund Central Station at least once an hour from numerous major cities. Within North Rhine-Westphalia, you can also use local transport connections with more frequent services. Train tickets can be purchased from ticket machines at stations or online.
TU Dortmund University is connected directly to Dortmund Central Station and to Düsseldorf/Duisburg/Essen via the S1 S-Bahn line (Dortmund Universität stop).
Travelling by car
The campus of the TU Dortmund University is located near the Dortmund West Autobahn junction, where the Sauerland line A45 crosses the Ruhrschnellweg B1/A40. When travelling from the south via the A45, take the Dortmund-Eichlinghofen exit to the campus; from the east and west via the A40, take the Dortmund-Dorstfeld or Dortmund-Barop exit.
Free parking is available 24/7 on Emil-Figge-Straße (opposite Emil-Figge-Straße 50, 44227 Dortmund) and on Vogelpothsweg (adjacent to Vogelpothsweg 85, 44227 Dortmund).
Accomodation
We have reserved a limited number of rooms at two hotels (Hotel NH Dortmund and Ibis Dortmund City) that offer easy access to TU Dortmund University by public transport (at most one change) and good connections to the city centre and the main station.
The rooms will be available here from March 2026.
