3rd Workshop on the Physics of Excitable Media
We are pleased to announce the 3rd Workshop on the Physics of Excitable Media (POEM) — an interdisciplinary meeting focused on the principles of excitability in both living systems (e.g., nerves, muscles, plants) and nonliving materials (e.g., chemical reactions, gels, membranes).
Topics include:
- Fundamentals of action potentials: gaps, questions, and predictions
- Membrane and cytoskeleton during action potential propagation
- Effects of drugs and medical relevance from physics point of view
- Information encoding and computation with pulses
- Nonlinear acoustics
- Lipids and macromolecules: the cellular building blocks
We invite abstracts for contributed talks and posters (A0, portrait format).
